Getting Kids To Drink Water
Posted by babysorganicblog under Fun Parenting Tips & Tricks | Tags: kids to drink water |Leave a Comment
With the warm weather coming very important to get water into your kids. My daughter is getting better but still hard to get her to drink a lot of water. Found a great fun way to solve this…have a tea party! Fill kids tea pot with water and let them pour and drink out of their little tea cups till their heart’s content
Amazing how much tea my daughter (and sometimes her clothes) will drink l0l!
P.S. Only have a daughter so not sure if this works for boys but I’d try it.

Dry Cracked Hands :(
Posted by babysorganicblog under Creating A Healthy Life & HomeLeave a Comment
We’ve almost made it through winter… yeah!!! But for all those like me who still have dry cracked hands from washing them too much I’ve got a few solutions/tips.
1. I came across this first one by accident. After breastfeeding I had a full tube of Lansinoh (nipple) cream left so I thought I’d try it on the cuts/splits on my hands as nothing else worked. Turns out it worked amazing! Healed almost over night. And really why wouldn’t it (that’s what it’s for…dry cracked skin that’s exposed to a lot of moisture).
2. The next one is the badger healing balm. LOVE it and again works really well!!! And totally natural.
3. Keep a bottle of hand cream/lotion beside every sink in the house so you are more likely to put it on after washing your hands. The key is to stay on top of the dryness and not let it get out of hand…like I often do
4. Lastly, dry your hands completely after washing. You would think that it’s ok to leave them a little wet (extra moisture) but it actually drys them out faster.
I honestly feel your pain so hope this helps!
Live well,

This is my new favorite recipe! Its healthy, easy to make, and so delicious!
Place in a medium soup pot:
1 large onion, cut in chunks
6-8 medium sweet potatoes
5 whole cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 strip wakame, crumbled (this is a sea vegetable. I forgot last time and still good so don’t worry if can’t find)
Add water just to top of vegetables. Bring to boil and simmer till tender. Add:
1 can coconut milk, full fat (I’ve also used light, and still good)
2-3 Tbsp. butter or coconut butter
1 tsp curry powder (I use a Tbsp)
herbamere and pepper to taste
Puree till smooth. Add additional seasonings to taste. Can add ginger if you like too.
